Stuff You Need to Know

ATTENTION SENIOR BOYS– If you are interested in participating in the traditional Senior Night Cheer routine, please stop by Coach Vanderwarren, room 123, to sign up!  Practices will be held on Tuesday February 19th and Wednesday February 20th from 3:30 to 5:30 and performance will be at the Basketball/Cheer Senior Night on Friday February 21stYou must sign up no later than today in order to participate.
CHILDREN'S PLAY AUDITIONS- Why is a raven like a writing desk? Follow us down the rabbit hole to find out! Auditions for this year’s Children’s Play: Alice in Wonderland will be Wednesday, February 26th after school in the Little Theatre. An Informational Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 25th after school in the Little Theatre. No previous theatre experience required! See you there – and don’t be late!
GLOBAL SOCIETY FEST- Find the flag is coming back to OLCHS! Next week, as part of global society festival, small flags will be hidden throughout the school. If you are one of the lucky students who finds a flag– please return the flag to Mr. Yerian in Room 256 AFTER SCHOOL ONLY to claim your prize! Happy Searching!
GRAD NITE- Seniors: Grad Nite tickets are on sale now! Online and in the main office. Check your email for all information and permission slips, or stop by the Media Center with any questions.
SERVICE HOURS- Need service hours?  There are a few special opportunities coming up!
  • Help serve meals to the elderly this Monday with the Community Nutrition Network in Hometown. 
  • Juniors and Seniors – what about a project you can do at home?  Mrs. Kenny needs help with a special video project!
Check the service learning calendar from the OLCHS website and/or your iTunes U Seminar course, or email Mrs. Kenny about the video project today!
WINTER DANCE/TURNABOUT- The Winter Dance/Turnabout will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from 7:00PM – 10:00 PM. This year’s theme is Neon Night.  Tickets are $10 each and will be on sale next week during all lunch periods. See Ms. Horn(Rm 217) or Mrs. DeMatteo(Rm 221) with any questions.

Club/Team News

If you are interested in trying out for the Girls Soccer Team this spring, please visit to register for girls soccer. A valid physical, shin guards and proper attire will be required for Tryouts on March 2nd – 5th. We are currently holding pre-season workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays in weight room 142 from 3:15-4:15. SADD- February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’d like to remind you that everyone deserves a safe and healthy relationship. If you or someone you know has a question about a relationship, healthy or unhealthy, visit or text “loveis” to 22522. 
Remember, love has many definitions, but abuse isn’t one of them. Together, we can put an end to Teen Dating Violence once and for all.
