Stuff You Need to Know



The annual Pink Out Basketball Game is  TONIGHT vs. Lemont. The freshman and sophomores tip off at 4:30 and the varsity game begins at 6:00. Come out and support this great cause and purchase your t-shirt during the lunch periods today and tomorrow. Shirts cost $10 and the proceeds go towards the Karen Janecek Scholarship fund. 



For Stress Relief week, today we have Art Therapy with Mrs. Wargin, Movie Room with Dr. Lietz, and Yoga with Ms. Rafferty. Sign up to relax and relieve some of that stress!




Need service hours? Here are some upcoming opportunities to volunteer:

  • The Children’s Museum of Oak Lawn will be having a volunteer orientation today at 4:00 pm for new volunteers
  • Volunteers needed for the Oak Lawn Park District’s Breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning
  • Volunteer coaches needed for the Hometown Elementary School bowling program on Mondays
  • Wrap gifts for Companions Journeying Together and Aunt Mary’s Storybook Project throughout the month of December
  • Help with athletic programs in the building over Winter Break!  Sign up via the link posted in the Service Learning calendar

Club/Team News




Operation Santa Claus. Operation Santa Claus is here again! We have adopted 11 families within the OLCHS community who need a little help this holiday season. Please visit the Christmas trees in the student cafeteria any day this week to choose a candy cane and make someone’s Christmas wish come true!

SADD: The holidays are almost here, help us spread some holiday cheer! SADD club is having a Holiday Card party on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week! Come enjoy some treats and help create holiday cards and spread joy for the residents of ManorCare Oak Lawn! The party starts after school in room 108 and is open to all interested staff and students.

SCREAMERS: Join our SCREAMER section in the stands for tonights Pink Out game! Starts at 6pm!!
