Stuff You Need to Know



Congrats to the Spartan Football team as they win their season opener against Marian Catholic 28-22. Chris Gallagher threw to Kevin Swatek for 3 TDs. Jaime Marinez had an interception. Nico Uriarte had 9 tackles and forced 2 turnovers. Tony Garza had 4 tackles and 2 sacks. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the football program this past week!


Today all Freshmen advisories will be attending the Activity/Athletic Fair in the student cafeteria. After announcements all freshmen advisories should go to the student cafeteria. Students will need to bring their ipads.


Spartan Plus begins this Thursday and sign up is OPEN Monday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in Skyward! Go to Desktop Version to get to Arena Scheduling and add a Spartan Plus for Thursday and Friday this week. Choose a teacher where you need to get extra help. If you are caught up on homework, choose “Other” in the Subject dropdown for other places you can go. If you don’t know how to sign up, ask your Advisor today for help! Or see Mrs. Meierkort in Student Services Office 117.

Club/Team News



Boys’ Basketball. To all boys not playing a fall sport that are interested in playing basketball this season; we will have an informational meeting this Wednesday, August 29th, after school at 3:10 pm in the Little Theater. We will be discussing our pre-season plans. If for some reason you are unable to attend, please see Coach Rhodes in the counseling office before the meeting.

Gaming Club. Do you like to play Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, Mario Cart and other video games? Then Competitive Gaming Club is the club for you! Join us on Tuesdays from 3-4 pm in the Media Center. Our first meeting will be TOMORROW.

SADD. SADD is having their first meeting THIS Tuesday, August 28th after school in room 108. New members are always welcome, please stop by and see if SADD club is for you!

World Language. World Language has a new sponsors and is looking for students who would like to learn celebrate cultural diversity. Our first meeting is TODAY in room 356 right after school. Come meet Mrs. Torres, and see what fun activities she has planned for the year!
