Stuff You Need to Know

SADD - Please join SADD as we advocate for Alcohol Awareness Week. From experimenting with alcohol for the first time to suffering from alcoholism, hundreds of teens abuse alcohol daily. In 2019, 7 million people ages 12 to 20 reported that they drank more than a few sips of alcohol in a month. Underage drinking is very serious. There are many health risks and negative effects that come with it. Many young teens drink because of reasons such as peer pressure, increased independence (or the desire for it), stress, more. However drinking is not the solution.
FACT: Drinking can lead to making poor decisions, including drinking and driving, being active in unsafe sexual behavior, and having aggressive or violent behavior.
If you or someone that you know is struggling with alcoholism, you can call SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). It is a 24-hour free and confidential information service for mental and substance use disorders. For more information on raising alcohol awareness, visit

With your donation, you’ll help us reach our goal and be the reason somebody is able to eat.
