Stuff You Need to Know

SADD - Please join SADD as we advocate for Alcohol Awareness Week. From experimenting with alcohol for the first time to suffering from alcoholism, hundreds of teens abuse alcohol daily. In 2019, 7 million people ages 12 to 20 reported that they drank more than a few sips of alcohol in a month. Underage drinking is very serious. There are many health risks and negative effects that come with it. Many young teens drink because of reasons such as peer pressure, increased independence (or the desire for it), stress, more. However drinking is not the solution.
FACT: According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, teenage girls are more likely to drink and binge than teenage boys.
If you or someone that you know is struggling with alcoholism, you can call SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). It is a 24-hour free and confidential information service for mental and substance use disorders. For more information on raising alcohol awareness, visit

Su Casa Service Announcement - With even a small cash donation, you can help provide food to someone in need in Chicago. We are working with Su Casa, a nearby homeless shelter to make 300 meals. With your donation, you’ll help us reach our goal and be the reason somebody is able to eat. Student donations will be collected on Thursday, April 29th at any of the school entrances.  If you have any questions or want further details contact Mrs. Lee in the counseling office. Thanks for your support!

Tech Help-  If you’re having trouble logging into your classes or having any other tech issues, please email for tech assistance. If possible, include a screen shot of your issue.
