Stuff You Need to Know
Permit packet pickup will begin next Tuesday April 30th and Wednesday May 1st from 8am-8:25am. Please come to the drivers ed room 281 with your student ID to pick up your materials. If you have any questions, please see a DE staff member.
Attention Athletes! It is time to nominate your coach for the Fred Parks, “COACH OF THE YEAR” Award. Nominations are now being accepted in the Athletic Office, Room 227. This Award is presented each year at the Spring Sports Awards Night. This nominee can be a coach from any sport, any level, and not necessarily from your sport. Additional information and nomination forms are available in the Athletic Office, Room 227. Deadline for nominations is Friday, April 26th.
This is the last week to purchase prom tickets!! You can purchase tickets online(Webstore- Prom) at olchs.org or in office 126. No checks will be accepted from graduating seniors. The cost is $75 per ticket. No ticket will be sold after 3:00 PM on Friday April 26th. This year’s prom, Forever, will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at the Odyssey in Tinley Park from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. See Ms. Horn(214) or Mrs. Strelow(207) with any questions.
The Pink Out game raised money for the Karen Janecek Scholarship. If you are a senior who's family has been affected by breast cancer, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. See the posters in the hallways or Mrs. Meyers in the Media Center for more information. The deadline to apply is May 3rd.
Admissions representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:

Students should email Mrs. Kenny to request a pass to attend either of these visits.
Dance Team. The dance team is having try outs on April 29-30 from 6-8:30PM in the dance room. We are looking for people of any dance ability and anyone who wants to tryout can! We are really looking to expand our team and it’s a great team to join if you love dance and want to make new friends. If you can please notify the students about our tryouts leading up to them over the pa and on student emails as well that’ll be great! \
Summer Swim. We will once again be hosting Summer Swim Lessons are in need of instructors to help teach children in our community the basics of swimming and water safety. Anyone interested in earning community service hours, and helping to grow the sport of swimming, please attend a meeting in Room 365 at 8:10am or directly after school on Thursday, April 25th. If you cannot attend please reach out to Coach Reiff or Coach Maciaga.
