Stuff You Need to Know



Drivers Education Summer School Students - Please pick up your permit packet in office 227 at anytime during the school day. Please bring your student ID with you. Once you get your permit packet, please go to the DMV and apply for your permit. All permits are due the first day of class which is Wednesday May 29th at 8am.


Attention all Juniors and Seniors!! Prom tickets go on sale Monday April 15th. You can purchase tickets online or in office 126. No checks will be accepted from graduating seniors. The cost is $75 per ticket. No ticket will be sold after 3:00 PM on Friday April 26th. This year’s prom, Forever, will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at the Odyssey in Tinley Park from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. See Ms. Horn(214) or Mrs. Strelow(207) with any questions.

ALL ABOARD!  SADD is sponsoring a midnight cruise aboard the Mystic Blue at Navy Pier! Post-Prom Cruise tickets go on sale Monday April 15th.  You can purchase tickets online or in office 126. No checks will be accepted from graduating seniors. The cost is $35 per ticket. Students must use the bus transportation provided by OLCHS to and from the cruise! Please pick up your field trip form from the main office today! Email Mr. Brida with any questions at

The Pink Out game raised money for the Karen Janecek Scholarship. If you are a senior who's family has been affected by breast cancer, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. See the posters in the hallways or Mrs. Meyers in the Media Center for more information. The deadline to apply is May 3rd. 


This week we have some special College & Career events happening:


Tues. 4/16 – Financial Aid Night: An Intro to Paying for College, 7:00 pm in the Little Theater. Open to all students and parents, strongly encouraged for sophomore and junior families!

Wed. 4/17 – College, Careers & Coffee!  8:30 – 10:15 am in the Spartan Gym. Bring your morning coffee and meet with college, military, union trade reps and full-time employers to discuss post-HS plans. Club/Team News

Dance. The dance team is having try outs on April 29-30 from 6-8:30PM in the dance room. We are looking for people of any dance ability and anyone who wants to tryout can! We are really looking to expand our team and it’s a great team to join if you love dance and want to make new friends!

International Club. We are having a bake sale on Thursday, April 18th during the lunch periods to raise money for Relay For Life.  Stop by our table in the cafeteria to support this important cause.
