Stuff You Need to Know



OLCHS is celebrating Teen Tech Week next week!  There are fun events scheduled every day.  Monday- join us during Spartan Plus for Bagels & Books.  We will be highlighting new books and chatting about some of our recent favorites.  Also- after school- STEM Club is hosting the Head of STEM at MVCC & recent OLCHS graduate Salam Mulhem will be in the Little Theater talking about STEM in college. No advance sign-up required.  Don't miss this interesting opportinity.

Drivers Education Summer School Students - Please pick up your permit packet in office 227 at anytime during the school day. Please bring your student ID with you. Once you get your permit packet, please go to the DMV and apply for your permit. All permits are due the first day of class which is Wednesday May 29th at 8am.


Attention all Juniors and Seniors!! Prom tickets go on sale Monday April 15th. You can purchase tickets online or in office 126. No checks will be accepted from graduating seniors. The cost is $75 per ticket. No ticket will be sold after 3:00 PM on Friday April 26th. This year’s prom, Forever, will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at the Odyssey in Tinley Park from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. See Ms. Horn(214) or Mrs. Strelow(207) with any questions.


This week we have some special College & Career events happening:


Mon. 4/15 – Mini Medical School with Midwestern University, pds. 7-11. Medical students from Midwestern University will have stations set up to help explain the different classes you take in medical school and demonstrate what they are learning.

Students interested in attending can come during their lunch period OR should request to sign up using this link:

Tues. 4/16 – Financial Aid Night: An Intro to Paying for College, 7:00 pm in the Little Theater. Open to all students and parents, strongly encouraged for sophomore and junior families!

Wed. 4/17 – College, Careers & Coffee!  8:30 – 10:15 am in the Spartan Gym. Bring your morning coffee and meet with college, military, union trade reps and full-time employers to discuss post-HS plans. Open to all students AND parents!  Link to participating reps here:​vz3cetcpI/edit?usp=sharing

Club/Team News



Dance. The dance team is having try outs on April 29-30 from 6-8:30PM in the dance room. We are looking for people of any dance ability and anyone who wants to tryout can! We are really looking to expand our team and it’s a great team to join if you love dance and want to make new friends!
