Spartans Got Talent

OLCHS' Junior and Senior Advisory Boards’ Talent Show highlighted the multi-talented pool of students that walk the Spartan hallways.  On November 14, 2019, Rock-n-Roll, karate, dance, vocals, stand-up comedy, and heavy medal acts turned the Performing Arts Center into a celebration of all that is cool in the school.  A packed audience was on their feet, cheering and supporting the brave young men and women who generously shared their talents with the community.

Emcee Tomas Walsh added to the night’s entertainment with his wit and humor, lauding a blind-folded Mr. Biga after he named every presidential election in history along with its winner. Mr. Denton and Mr. Kallenborn also brought their musical prowess to the stage. Third place went to freshman Omar Uwainat for his sophisticated stand-up bit; second place went to the band Sage for its electrifying “Morning Glory” jam; and first place went to the Spartan Dance Team for its elegant choreography and graceful movement.

Talent Show judge Jenn Jepsen said, “I am flabbergasted!  The diversity of talent and the guts our kids had to get on stage, often times alone, left me speechless.  I am so proud of them and I’m glad I was there.  These kids are a blast!” Thank you to Mrs. Wholley, Mrs. Strelow, Mrs. DeMatteo and Ms. Horn for bringing this tradition back.
