Students from the Oak Lawn Community High School ILRP Program distributed "Random Acts of Kindness" to members of the community. On April 30, 2016, each kindness recipient received a colorful card with a cheerful message and piece of candy. Many of the recipients thanked and praised the students for their thoughtful deed. Others struck up positive conversations about their memories and connections to Oak Lawn Community High School.
People were very touched by the students' manners and kindness. While the goal of this activity was to promote happiness and spread kindness throughout the community, the students also learned a great lesson in the joy we experience when we give to others.
