When sophomore Sinead Conroy steps onto the field for Oak Lawn Community High School’s girls soccer games, she steps onto it with tenacity and a competitive mindset. That aggressive nature has allowed Conroy to really blossom as a leader.
In fact, she leads the Spartans in goals with 13 and assists with 14. She controls play in the midfield and makes the entire team better. They have 10 wins already this year.
“Sinead has quickly become a standout player on the team,” head coach John Faro said. “Her role has been to control the central midfield and take on the other team’s best players. She has risen to the occasion as she has been instrumental to the team’s success this season. Sinead is talented and technical, she understands the game, and she makes all her teammates better.”
