Social Worker Sal Montes Connects in a Unique Way

It is important to have different coping strategies during this stressful time. School Social Worker Salvador Montes has found that like many of his students, he has been playing video games to deal with the stress of social distancing. In an effort to support students, he has combined video gaming with social work.  When asked how he does it he replied “I have begun streaming a variety of different games on and integrating different social work ideas into the stream. So far, I’ve covered developing a growth mindset and how it applies to video games and mindfulness practices.” If you or a student you know are interested in participating in the stream contact Mr. Montes for more information.
