Back to School Registration

Thank you to those who have completed your residency verification.   Residency verification is the first step in the Back-to-School Registration process.

The next registration step is Qmlativ Verification beginning on Wednesday, July 8th. You must complete the steps by Friday, July 31, 2026.  These steps will only be available to families who have approved residency. New students to the district need to contact Maria Vanderwarren at newstudentsres@olchs.org.

All families are required to verify their Qmlativ information in order to access student schedules on Monday, August 3, 2026.    

Beginning Wednesday, July 8th and continuing through Friday, July 31, log-in to Qmlativ and select the On-line Verification tab to begin the verification process. As part of verification, families will verify their contact information, review the student handbook, and add a student cell phone number.  Student cell phone numbers will be used for our emergency notification system. 

Families requesting free or reduced meals for the 2026-27 school year are required to complete the “Food Service Application". This application will be sent to all families when it becomes available. A new application must be submitted each school year unless you’ve received an email stating that you’ve been directly certified to receive free or reduced-price meals for the upcoming school year. 

 
Note: For Qmlativ Family Access, incoming freshmen, transfer students, and those who forgot their password should use the ‘forgot password’ link within the Qmlativ Family Access to gain their username and password. Everyone else will use their previous Skyward username and password. As a reminder, you will need to re-login into the Qmlativ app to access your student's information. Questions regarding Qmlativ Family Access should be directed to 708/424-5200 x0. 

 
After the above steps are completed your student will be fully registered for next school year and will be able to access their schedule on August 3, 2026.  Please remember all families will need to complete Qmlativ Verification in order to receive a student schedule.  New students will also receive information regarding iPad pick-up, which is scheduled for July 13-16.   

Families have the opportunity to  to purchase Athletic Booster Club memberships and student parking permits.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Athletic Booster Club Membership. Parents and students can secure Athletic Booster Club memberships ($15/person or $40/family pass) through the OLCHS Athletics GoFan Box Office from the school’s website, www.olchs.org. This membership entitles you to FREE ADMISSION to all regularly scheduled home events (with the exception of invitationals/tournaments and IHSA playoffs). Current OLCHS students do not need to be members. Memberships are active from August of 2026 through June of 2027. Membership can also be purchased in person at various events throughout the year. 

Fall Athletic Program Registration. Registration for our fall athletic programs (Football, Boys Soccer, Boys & Girls Golf, Girls Swim & Dive, Boys & Girls Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, and Girls Tennis) will open on Monday, July 13th. Registration and a valid physical are required to tryout/participate in all athletic programs. Registration will be available through our Snap! Manage Registration website. General athletic information and tryout dates/times/locations will be posted on our athletic website once finalized. The first day of Football will be on Wedensday, August 5th and all other fall athletic programs will begin on Monday, August 10th. First Day of School. The first day of school for all students is Monday, August 17, 2026 following Bell Schedule A.  Zero hour begins at 7:00am, first period begins at 8:32am, dismissal will be at 3:00pm.  A Freshman/New Student Orientation is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026.  Information regarding orientations will be sent out in August.   

Free/Reduced Lunch Eligibility. If you recevied an email stating that your student has been directly certified for a free or reduced-price lunch by the Illinois State Board of Education for the 2026-2027 school year, you do not need to complete a Food Service Application. All other families interested in applying for  free or reduced-price meals must sumbit a new Food Service Application each school year. We will send the application to all families as soon as it becomes available. 

Hallway Lock/Locker. All Class of 2030 students will receive a lock and locker during orientation.  Returning students will be sent information asking if they would like to request a locker for the 2026-27 school year.   

Handbook. The 2026-27 Student-Parent Handbook can be viewed online as a PDF file and can be printed as desired.  

ID Photograph. Information regarding ID photos will be emailed.  All students will be issued a digital ID through 5Star.  This ID is accessible on student iPads.   

iPad Pick-Up Day/iPad Insurance. iPads will be available for pick-up July 13, 14, 15, 16 from 8:00-3:00 PM at the Southwest Highway entrance, door 7.  All grade 9 students and new students should pick-up their iPads. Residency must be approved in order to pick-up iPads.  All students will receive iPad insurance this school year. Damage deductibles for iPad repair and replacement fees can be found in the Student Handbook on page 21. 

Parent/Guardian Contact Information. Families will update their contact information as part of the online Qmlativ verification process.    

Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Membership. Parents and students can secure PTSA memberships ($12.00) through the PTSA Members Hub from the school’s website, www.olchs.org. 

ParentSquare. School communication will come through ParentSquare. Families can update their ParentSquare preferences directly through ParentSquare. The information provided in Qmlativ is used to determine what telephone numbers, email addresses, and text messages families will receive notifications at in case of emergencies or for general information. 

Parking Permits. Student parking permits are available to Seniors only until August 1.  On August 1, available spots will be opened to Juniors.  Parking permit cost is $150/school year and can be purchased through the OLCHS Omella site. 

Physical Education Uniform. Physical Education uniforms will be sold on campus August 6, during Freshman Family Night.  The uniforms can also be purchased the first week of school during the lunch periods or throughout the school year at Burbank Sports, 5500 West 79th Street, Burbank, Illinois, 60459; 708/422-7777.

Physical/Health Record. Freshmen/new students must submit a physical, immunization, and dental records before registration can be finalized per Illinois state requirements. Please return the completed physical folder, provided to you at Incoming Freshmen Curriculum Night to the Main Office (Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) to avoid any delays in the student's registration process. Schedule. Families who completed the online registration process will have access to class schedules on Monday, August 3, 2026. If a student feels their schedule is not correct, they should email their school counselor.  

Student Cafeteria. OrganicLife is the student cafeteria food service vendor. Families may add funds to their student's food service account by selecting the Food and Fees tile in Qmlativ Family Access. From there, click Make a Payment link in the top right corner and follow the instructions. 

Textbooks.  Students will be issued textbooks as needed during the first week of school.  

Yearbooks. Yearbooks can be purchased through the Jostens website, http://www.jostensyearbooks.com/ in the near future.   

Yearbook Photographs. Grade 9 - 11 yearbook photographs will be taken during School Picture Day on Monday, August 24, 2026, during the student’s physical education class. Seniors should have their picture taken during the summer at one of the senior portrait sessions on campus. Additional senior/portrait times will be available September 8-10. Refer to the school’s website for more information.
