OLCHS Gives Thanks!

Students help load donations going to local food pantries

Student Council's annual Thanksgiving food drive collected 75 full meal baskets. Each meal basket was stuffed with 15 items, such as canned fruits and vegetables, stuffing, cornbread, juice, and a $20 grocery store gift certificate.

Numerous 3rd period advisory teachers' classes collected three or more complete baskets, including Scott Atkins, Jamie Atkus, Jeremey Cryan, Billy Denton, Ellen Kruger, Janet Meyers, Jessica Nickless, Lisa Sampson, Megan Schillo, Jennifer Sidlow, Sue Szala, and Tammy Tyeptanar.  The Deans' Office, Deans' Assistants, Main Office secretaries and the Maintenance department also collected at least three complete baskets.

Baskets were donated to food pantries at Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn and Our Savior's Church in Burbank.
