For Oak Lawn Community High School middle distance runner Nate Macias, it is all about the process. He is willing to go the extra mile, sport a winning attitude and lead by example. This mindset has him off and running for the Spartans this season. He runs the 800-meter run and the competes in the 4x800-meter relay.
“He is a leader of the team who is always willing to do the extra repeat and motivates others to follow through with him,” head coach John Jensen said. “His work ethic and attitude exemplify the Spartan standard the track team holds. Consistency, effort, and drive are the three words that exemplify what makes Nate successful on and off the track.”
