Oak Lawn Community High School celebrated Homecoming 2021 - Spartans Under the Starry Sky. The busy week included spirit days, window painting, a community parade, pep rally, fireworks and varsity football game against Tinley Park High School. An outdoor dance is set to take place Saturday, October 2 under the stars on the football field, Napleton Field.

Terry Vorderer, Mayor of Oak Lawn, was the Grand Marshal of the homecoming parade. His past leadership positions include past village trustee, past Oak Lawn Park District Commissioner, past Oak Lawn police officer, and Chief of Patrol.  What he likes best about Oak Lawn is its people. When not at work, he enjoys his grandchildren, golf and gardening. At the parade he was joined by the First Lady of Oak Lawn, his wife Linda, and his grandchildren Raelynn, Lincoln & Teagen.
Special thanks to Spartan super fans and OLCHS neighbors Corry & Donna Patton for judging the parade participants. The winners of the OLCHS Spartans Under the Starry Sky Parade are: Best Walking Float - Band, Best Vehicle Float - Dance Team, Best Use of Theme - Fishing Team and Most Spirited Group - Freshman Sophomore Class Advisory Board. Special thanks also to the OLCHS Deans Assistants for judging the colorfully painted homecoming windows. The winner is a tie between Band & Theater.
