NOTHING STOPS SAVAGLIO FROM SLAMMING COMPETITION

Rose
When Oak Lawn Community High School senior softball player Rose Savaglio was hit in the neck by a pitch, it hurt, but she stayed in the game. Nothing was going to stop her from competing. This determination keeps her at the top of her game.

With a batting average over .300 and a big grand slam to seal a victory against De La Salle, that competitive nature is proving to be worth it for her and the Spartans.

“Rose is one of the leaders of the softball team,” head coach Shawn Neubauer said. “Not only does she support her teammates, but she also plays hard each and every game. Rose is one of the toughest players on the team, and her toughness shows every game.

“Rose has been a key player in the success of the softball team, and her senior leadership will be missed next year.”
