Music Students Represent OLCHS at Illinois Music Educators Association All-District Honors Festivals

Every fall, students from all across the state of Illinois participate in a high stakes music audition process in hopes to be selected for the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) District and State Senior Honors Music Festivals.  This year, due to the current health crisis, auditions were held virtually through video submission. Oak Lawn Community High School is proud to have had four of its music students be selected for the ILMEA District 1 Senior Festivals.
The Following Oak Lawn Community High School students were selected for District 1 Senior Chorus: Theresa Tenn (senior), Addison Abrahamsen (senior), and Olha Huska (senior)
Jonathan Weber (senior) was selected for the District 1 Senior Band.
These students are also eligible for the ILMEA All-State festival based on the scores from their first audition.  They will find out if they advance on in early December.  We wish them the best of luck at the District 1 Festival and congratulations for representing Oak Lawn Community High School and the Music Department so exceptionally.
