For a first-year member of the Oak Lawn Community High School girls soccer team, junior Ashley Marquez made the most of her opportunities. As a striker, she led the team in goals this year with 16. Next year she will be looking for more.
“Ashley is a consummate professional, taking training sessions seriously and working as hard as anyone on the field,” head coach John Faro said. “She is a crafty striker with excellent ball skills, a great first touch, and a powerful shot. She uses her speed and creativity to put herself in position to score.
“Ashley is a great teammate—easy to coach, and I’m looking forward to seeing what she can do next year.”
