Kennelly Dominates Action In Huge Week For Girls Soccer

Each week the Athletic Department selects a Spartan Athlete of the Week. The recipient for the week of April 30 is freshman girls soccer player Mia Kennelly.
Last week, she had another monster performance in scoring two goals against Tinley Park in a 3-2 victory and scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Shepard. Kennelly now has 10 goals and 6 assists for the season. She leads the team in both of those offensive categories. This marks the second time Kennelly has earned the Spartan Athlete of the Week honor.
“She is a dominant force on the soccer field, and other teams have to game plan just for her,” Head Coach John Faro said.
Other nominees for Spartan Athlete of the Week included Kamryn Hendricks (Girls Track), Ahmed Sharfi (Boys Tennis), and Bryan Green and Kevin Swatek (Baseball).
