JCAB To Host Winter Turnabout Dance

The Junior Class Advisory Board shares its pride each year with their school and classmates.  Each year they host Winter Spirit Week and a Winter Formal Dance.  This year’s theme, preceded with a week of spirit days, is Glow in the Dark.  The events will take place February 20 to February 23, with the dance taking place on February 24.

On Tuesday, February 20, students are encouraged to wear their loudest colors for Neon Day.  On Wednesday, February 21, students should wear their favorite USA or camouflage attire for USA/Camo Day.  On Thursday, February 22, students shall hula to school wearing their leis, grass skirts and floral shirts for Hawaiian Day.  On Friday, February 23, students should don their favorite college or fraternity and sorority wear for Frat/College Day.

This year includes an added twist: win free tickets to the dance with the best turnabout proposal!  Students will showcase their creative talents by asking someone to the dance in a fun, imaginative way.  Ask someone to turnabout and post your video to Instagram and Twitter with #OLCHSTB18 by Thursday, February 22 at 3:00 p.m.  The winner will be announced by Friday, February 23.

Finally, on Saturday, February 24, the winter turnabout Glow in the Dark will take place.  The attire is semi-formal, so students should dress nicely.  The dance will take place from 7-10 pm and students must have an ID to enter. Tickets are $10 and will be sold the week of the dance in the cafeteria; no tickets will be sold at the door.  Spartans can even scan a QR code to suggest songs for the dance!
