OLCHS' technology coach Janet Meyers and art teacher Jennifer Wargin were recently welcomed to the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) Class of 2019. In 1994, Apple created the ADE Program to recognize K-12 and higher education pioneers who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning in powerful ways. Celebrating 25 years, the program has grown into a worldwide community of over 2,800 visionary and innovative leaders in education, helping other educators rethink what is possible with iPad and Mac.
The Apple Distinguished Educator program is a relationship program focused on educational excellence and leadership. ADE’s are part of a global community of education leaders recognized for doing amazing things with Apple technology in and out of the classroom. They explore new ideas, seek new paths, and embrace new opportunities. That includes working with each other and with Apple to bring the freshest, most innovative ideas to learners everywhere. When asked, Principal Dr. Jeana Lietz said “Janet and Jennifer are two of our outstanding educators who are leaders within our building in the use of Apple technology. They work with our staff and each other tirelessly to improve student achievement. This is a well-deserved accolade, and I look forward to the new learning they will bring back to OLCHS from their participation in the world-wide Apple Distinguished Educator community of learners.”
OLCHS would like to congratulate both Janet Meyers and Jennifer Wargin on this outstanding achievement!
