Teachers presented at #ICE18

Eight OLCHS Teachers presented at the #ICE18 Conference of Illinois Computing Educators in Schaumburg recently.

Jamie Atkus, Billy Denton, Chris Kuchyt, and Janet Meyers presented "Using Innovative Technology to Empower Learning in a High School" in the Apple Distinguished School arena.  Kate Mellone, Janet Meyers and Lisa Sampson  presented "Using Innovative Technology in the Algebra Classroom."  Eileen Jones, Janet Meyers and Jennifer Sidlow presented "Coding Across the Curriculum," a comprehensive 2.5 hour workshop.  Atkus, Denton, Jones, Kuchyt, Mellone and Sidlow are Apple Teachers.  Meyers is an Apple Learning Specialist.

According to its website, ICE is "the largest organization in the state devoted to the use of technology in education."  The objective of the annual conference is to showcase best practices for integrating technology into classrooms and libraries.
