Country House Food Service UPDATED

COUNTRYHOUSEKC
Beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Oak Lawn Community High School in partnership with Country House Kitchens will begin providing free meal packets as part of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) extension to the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Free meals will be available for curbside pick-up from 10:30AM to 1:00PM Monday through Friday. Each daily meal packet will include breakfast, lunch, and beverage items. The meals will be distributed at Oak Lawn Community High School from the Northwest corner of the building. Vehicles should enter the campus from Austin Avenue (north of the football field) and exit onto Southwest Highway. Please note this is a different location than the summer (See Map).

The meals are available to any and all families with household children under age 18. Participants are not required to be OLCHS students nor do children need to be present at the pick-up.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was extended to provide nutritious meals to children during the fall months. This unprecedented move will help ensure regardless of the student’s school instructional learning method (in-person, remote, hybrid) that children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic link.

The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). More information on Country House can be found at www.chschoolfoods.com.  For more details on the ISBE Summer Food Service Program check out www.isbe.net/sfsp.
