Community Outreach For Speakers Of Arabic And Spanish

The Muslim Student Association supervised by Samantha Razik, along with students in Alexandra Wong’s Spanish 4 Honors class and Stephanie Dominguez’s Spanish 4 class are hosting an exciting event for its Spanish and Arabic speaking Spartan families. This event is scheduled for the evening of November 14, 2018, and will be organized exclusively by the students with adult supervision.  The purpose of this event is to foster a relationship between Oak Lawn Community High School and the Spanish and Arabic speaking parent community of Oak Lawn. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to use the Spanish and Arabic languages with heritage speakers in a safe and fun environment. All parents of the students organizing the event are also invited to participate.

Activities for this event will tentatively include: Guided tours of the school available in either Spanish or Arabic; student created/student translated documents for the guests to provide them with district information; student created visual aids to provide guests with information of other community activities; and Samantha Razik will represent student services to provide information regarding post high school planning.

To find out more information, or if you would like to offer your resources during this event, please contact Alexandra Wong at (Se habla español) or Samantha Razik at
