The Oak Lawn Community High School Choral Department has partnered with Reavis High School and Harold L. Richards High School Choral Departments again to present their annual Charity of Voices Concert. This concert is open to all members of the community to raise money for a selected charity each year. In 2017, the first annual Charity of Voices Concert raised over $1,100 through free will donations, which were donated to local charities. This year’s donations will go to Almost Home, a local charity in Hometown, IL that serves individuals and families who have endured financial, physical, or emotional trauma in their lives as well as the homeless. The choral directors, Mark Baglione (OLCHS), Joshua Hammann (HLRHS), and Andrew Davis (RHS), invite all community members to the concert to enjoy beautiful music sung by choirs from each high school’s choral program.
The concert will take place Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Church, 8000 S Linder Ave, Burbank, IL. This is a free concert; however, free-will donations will be collected at the door to give to charity. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
