Cetera Beats Personal Best on Girls Cross Country Regional Stage

Setting personal goals and working to achieve them has long been a recipe for self-improvement. And when those goals are finally attained, it is time to celebrate. For Oak Lawn Community High School’s junior girls cross country runner Natalia Cetera, the time to celebrate is now as she accomplished her goal and ran the three-mile course at the Illinois High School Association Regional meet in 22:09 over the weekend.
“At the beginning of the season, the team set personal goals for their running season, and Natalia set out to beat her best time from freshman year,” head coach Sue Szala said. “She has been pushing herself to run faster and dropping time throughout the season. On Saturday, we ran our regional meet, and Natalia crushed her previous best time.”
“Natalia is in her third year of running and has always been a key runner for our team. Congratulations, Natalia. Hard work always pays off.”
