The following information is being shared to prepare students and parents for the school’s food service operations for the 2022-2023 school year. Several things have changed from last year, and we need all students to be prepared for the changes.
Free Lunch For Every Student Is Discontinued. As previously shared, the Federal program that provided free breakfast and free lunch to every student is not available this school year. In its place is the traditional program that determines eligibility by reviewing applications based on family household income to qualify students for Free Meals (Free Breakfast and Free Lunch), Reduced-price Meals (Breakfast: $0.30 and Lunch: $0.40) or Paid Meals (Breakfast: $3.50 and Lunch $4.25). Cashless Transactions. Students are requested to make their purchases using the cashless checkout system. Parents and students are requested to add funds to their Student’s Skyward Account enabling the student’s OLCHS ID card to be scanned at check-out. Transactions can be monitored by the student and parent on their Skyward Family Access account.
This change is in response to several important factors including the number of touchpoints for students and staff, managing cafeteria staff shortages, and speeding up the lines for student/staff convenience.
Preferred Method to Add Funds
To add funds to your student’s Food Service Account, access your Skyward Family account. Select Food Service; select Make a Payment; enter the payment amount and then click the Pay with Revtrak link and follow the checkout process through the OLCHS WebStore. If this is your first time using Revtrak, you will need to create an account.
Alternative Method to Add Funds
For those who cannot use the online system, you can add money through the School’s Business Office. Please bring cash or check to Office 123 (not the cafeteria cashier), and a staff member will place it on the student's account. $20.00 is the suggested minimum to limit the number of transactions in the Business Office.
Student ID. Students should have their ID out and ready to be scanned when getting breakfast, lunch, or items from the Snack Shop. ID’s can also be accessed through the student iPad while at school through myid.olchs.org.
