Last year as a sophomore, Olivia Bansley tried just about every event for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls track team. She was competitive in everything she tried; however, it wasn’t until she tried hurdles that she found the perfect fit.

This year as a junior she is competing in the 100-meter-high hurdles and the 300-meter-low hurdles. She also runs in the 3,200 relay and the 1,600 relay when needed.

“She tried hurdles and never looked back,” said head coach Brian Fiene. “Olivia is a team player and has been a great role model for the underclassmen. With her hard work and dedication, I look forward to seeing her track career soar.”
