Description

Student Helpers is a club dedicated to assisting new students including first year and transfer students, in acclimating to OLCHS through peer support.
 
Vision Statement

Student Helpers will work cooperatively with staff, students and the community to ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all new students. It is our goal that all OLCHS students feel supported in their transition to high school through engaging activities and by sharing relevant and valuable information to promote a positive school experience.
 
Membership Expectation

Members are expected to attend a Student Helper Training Day held prior to the start of the academic school year. Members will take part in, and have a leadership role in, some school sponsored activities including New Student Orientation Night, New Student Orientation Day, Shadow Days, Paint the Gym Purple and other activities as deemed appropriate. Student Helpers will be expected to embody positive personal qualities such as kindness, empathy and respect for all students and will represent themselves accordingly.
