Description

Scholastic Bowl is a competitive IHSA activity in which students participate as a team of 5 against other schools by answering trivia questions pertaining to various academic topics.  Topics include history, geography, current events, literature, mathematics, science, music, pop culture and others.

Vision Statement

Scholastic Bowl exists to provide students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of various topics while also instilling a desire to be life-long learners.  We hope to broaden students' understanding of multiple topics while simultaneously strengthening current areas of interest.

Membership Expectation

All Scholastic Bowl members are expected to attend practice once a week for a period of 45-60 minutes.  In addition, members must compete in at least 3 of the 5 Conference competitions throughout the season.  Fundraising is not a requirement, but is encouraged when necessary.  Participation in pre-season and non-conference tournaments is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged.
