The Journalism Team meets in Room 366 every Friday. Refer to the Google Activity Calendar for additional meeting and competition dates. The team competes in IHSA Journalism events during the month of April and May.

Vision Statement
|
The Journalism Team is a competitive team consisting of members from The Shield Yearbook and The Spartanite Newspaper. These students compete in 17 IHSA sponsored journalism events. Students earn points for their individual placement in an event and overall points are totaled for team placement. Students who finish in the top three at Sectional will earn a trip to the State Finals at Eastern Illinois University.
