It’s one thing to be the fastest runner for the Oak Lawn Community High School boys cross country team. It’s another thing to be the inspirational leader of the Spartans. Andrew Leon has been both for head coach Marty Chappetto this season.
“Andrew has been the top runner for the cross country team all season,” Chappetto said. “He has taken the initiative as a young captain to be a student of the sport. He can contribute outside of just his skills as a runner. He goes a above and beyond what his coaches tell him to do. He is always motivating the team to take a step to the next level with him.”
