The 2015-2016 Yearbooks have arrived. The Yearbook Club will be distributing books after school all week in the student café. The distribution will last from 3:05-3:45.
Spartan Plus attendance is mandatory. You must attend where you signed up. Failure to do so, will result in a class cut.
In preparation for the upcoming religious holiday, Eid, please pick up a pre-arranged absence form in the deans’ office or print it from the OLCHS website. All teachers, a parent and the student must sign the form. Turn in your completed form into the deans’ office as soon as possible.
Freshmen, please turn in your school physical to the Nurse’s Office, RM 140, to avoid being excluded from school on October 15, 2016. Visit the Nurse’s Office webpage for more information or contact them directly.

Juniors and Seniors. Did you miss the deadline to register for the September ACT? There is still time to register for the October 1st SAT. The SAT is also used by college admissions as a college entrance exam. Students can register on the College Board website, www.collegeboard.org. The deadline to register for the October 1st SAT is September 1st. Don’t wait to sign up. See your counselor if you need help registering.
Hello Spartans! Would you or your family like to watch football home games in style? Cross Countries is offering skybox seating which includes comfortable chairs, catered food and drink, and servers waiting on you the whole night. Space is very limited so please see Mr. Repa in room 274 as soon as possible for more details.
An Admissions Rep from the University of Chicago will visit with OLCHS students today during 10th period in Rm. 107. Please see or email Mrs. Kenny for a pass to attend by the beginning of 2nd period. Seniors who have UChicago saved as a school of interest in Career Cruising will automatically be sent a pass to attend.
Spartans, You’re Invited! If you are thinking about college after high school, please join us for College 101 on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium Gym. This program is for Spartans from ALL grade levels and your parents & guardians. Presentation will include information about how to best prepare yourself to apply to college, how to begin the college selection process and how to lower the cost of college. Powderpuff. POWDER PUFF TIME IS HERE!!! Interested in bonding with your class mates in a game of flag football? Looking for a way to get more involved in homecoming week? Sign up for powder puff in the cafeteria from September 12th - September 15th. Cost is $15 dollars, T-shirt is included. The game is September 28th @ 7pm with practice before hand at 6pm.
