Stuff You Need to Know

 

 

Help Wanted!  Volunteers are needed for the annual PTSA Craft Fair & Business Showcase this Saturday, 10/21.  Various volunteer shifts are available between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.  You do not need to stay the whole time – see the Service Learning calendar for the shift times, and email Mrs. Kenny to sign up!

 

 

Transfer Students - come socialize and meet other transfer students during Spartan Plus on Friday in Room 111. Sign up in Arena Scheduling by filtering Subject: Other or Teacher: Meierkort or Schumacher

 

Juniors: You have Career Cruising Seminar during Spartan Plus this week. Check your schedule for day and location.

 

 

Representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:

 

Thursday 10/19 – Southern IL University at Carbondale pd. 8/9 and Illinois Wesleyan University pd. 10

 

Students interested in attending any of these visits should add the school to their Career Cruising plan, or see/email Mrs. Kenny for a pass.

 

 

 

 

Club/Team News

 

Boys’ Bowling. Boys Bowling Tryouts are this Monday October 23rd and Tuesday October 24th at 3:30.   We will meet in the Spartan Lobby at 3:10 and take the bus to Palos Lanes.  Please register on 8to18.com ASAP!  All interested students must be registered on 8to18.com before tryouts and have a current physical on file on the Athletic Office.  All boys interested in Bowling tryouts should come by Room 28 and see Coach Walery to sign-up before Monday.

 

Cheerleading. Cheer Tryouts for the winter season are coming up October 24th, 25th and 26th . All those interested should register on 8to18, have a physical on file and fill out the google interest form. Any questions contact Coach Price.

                        

Student Council.  The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Chicago 5K is this Saturday!  Turn in your permission form TODAY (Thursday) to the Media Center.
