Seniors, are you applying to the University of IL at Urbana-Champaign? Join Mrs. Kenny on a field trip to visit the UIUC campus. Interested students should see Mrs. Kenny in Student Services Office 117 for the required field trip forms ASAP. All forms and money are due back by this Fri. 9/2, and seats will be reserved on a first come, first served basis!

The procedure in place for students who must leave during the school day for situations such as court appearances or funerals is to fill out a pre-arranged absence form. You can print out a pre-arranged absence form at www.olchs.org or you may pick up a form in deans'/attendance office.
Juniors and Seniors. Did you miss the deadline to register for the September ACT? There is still time to register for the October 1st SAT. The SAT is also used by college admissions as a college entrance exam. Students can register on the College Board website, www.collegeboard.org. The deadline to register for the October 1st SAT is September 1st. Don’t wait to sign up. See your counselor if you need help registering.
Hello Spartans! Would you or your family like to watch football home games in style? Cross Countries is offering skybox seating which includes comfortable chairs, catered food and drink, and servers waiting on you the whole night. Space is very limited so please see Mr. Repa in room 274 as soon as possible for more details.
Boys’ Basketball. We will hold a mandatory pre-season meeting for boys interested in playing basketball this season on Wednesday after school at 3:10 in Room 359. Fall athletes are not required to attend. If you have any questions, see Coach Rhodes in room 117.
Crew. Do you like to build, paint, and design? Would you like to learn how? How about running lights or sound? Ever consider becoming a make-up artist? If you answered yes to any of these crew is for you. Crew is the behind the scenes group for the musical. There will be an informational meeting today in the Little Theater. Construction will begin on Tuesday August 30. Everyone is welcome to join and No Experience is Necessary.

Girls’ Track and Field Athletes. Old and New, If you do not have a fall sport, we will have a pre-pre –preseason meeting Thursday September 1st in room 211 right after school, 3:10. We are going to discuss recruiting and fundraising for the upcoming year as well as the start day of conditioning. Please share this will all athletes.
