Spartans Travel to Dublin for World Irish Dancing Championship


Freshman Tadgh Spillane and Freshman Sydney Rozhon recently traveled to the 2017 World Irish Dancing Championship in Dublin, Ireland. Tadgh competed in the 15-16 boys’ competition against 51 other competitors and finished in second place. This was Tadgh’s fourth year finishing in the top two, he had previously earned two world championships and a second-place finish.  Tadgh continues to train and hopes to attend the 2018 Tournament in Glasgow, Scotland. 

Sydney Rozhon earned a team championship title for the under 16 category. Sydney’s team consisted of eight members from the Lavin Cassidy School of Irish Dance.
