PTSA -Parent Teacher Student AssociationAs we welcome you to a new school year, we invite you to become part of our Oak Lawn Community High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association team!
Membership is the foundation of a successful PTSA partnership and we encourage all parents, students, and staff members to join. We also seek support from community members, family, and friends through membership ($5.00 each) or donations (any amount is greatly appreciated!).
We are very proud to be able to provide scholarships for a number of graduating seniors. Proceeds from the table rental at our two annual craft fairs fund these scholarships. As you can imagine, this is a big undertaking and we need volunteers to help out. On the back of this sheet is an opportunity for you to sign up. Please indicate the day and time we can count on your help. Thank you in advance!
Just a reminder, seniors must be a member of the OLCHS PTSA by December 1, 2008, to be eligible to apply for the PTSA scholarships. Seniors must also volunteer for at least one of the following PTSA events: Fall Craft Fair (October 18, 2008), PTSA Family Night (February 20, 2009), Spring Craft Fair (March 14, 2009), or other events as approved. Last year, the PTSA awarded twenty-two $500 scholarships.
