Plenty of Spartans Plan to Continue Athletic Careers in College



The Class of 2017 has plenty of things of which to be proud before graduation, but one of the most impressive things is just how many of them have signed a letter of intent to continue their athletic careers in college. In fact, fifteen athletes are planning on doing just that.

The athletes come from many different sports and include both boys and girls. These Spartans will be taking their talents to the next level.

The signees include Tasneem Jaber in women’s cross country and track at St. Xavier University, Keven Arias in men’s cross country and track at St. Xavier University, Brenden Butler in baseball at Upper Iowa University, John Lindner in men’s volleyball at Lincoln College, Danielle Quigley in women’s basketball at Carthage College, Miranda Garcia in women’s basketball at Morton College, Rashad Johnson in men’s basketball at Aurora University, Anthony Masterson in football at Saint Ambrose, Jabari Clark in football at Carthage College, Giovanni Barragan in men’s soccer at Calumet College, Mohammad Farraj in men’s soccer at Moraine Valley, Sadiq Mohamed in men’s soccer at Moraine Valley, Stephanie Gasca in women’s bowling at St. Xavier University, and Alexa Lopez in women’s volleyball at Aurora University.
